More of these are now offered by other mobile maker around the world. GSM is also used to transfer funds in Asia and other places like Europe(if I'm not mistaken). Well, it only means that integration of e-commerce on phones are very convenient than going local banks to release checks or receive payments. But i think, Apple iPhone works more effectively since it has few security features on this kind of transactions.
